BBC ā€œPeople Just Do Nothingā€

Produced & Directed by - Jack Clough
Writers - Steve Stamp & Alan Mustafa
 Production Designer - Martha Parker
Art Director - Laura Phillips
Graphic Designer - Jonas Carvell

Brief

The BBC required all on-screen graphics, bespoke props, and set dressing for Seasons 3 and 4 of the hit comedy series People Just Do Nothing. The challenge was to translate specific script requirements into high-quality print and digital visuals, managing strict budget constraints and the notoriously tight deadlines of a fast-paced television production environment.

Response

Working closely with the Director, Writers, Production Designer, and Art Director, I leaned into an "intentionally lo-fi" aesthetic that perfectly matched the show's gritty mockumentary style. Operating in a highly agile environment, I collaborated directly with the talent and scriptwriters to turn around rapid, creative solutions—ensuring every graphic and physical prop felt completely authentic to the Kurupt FM universe.

Result

The project delivered a seamlessly integrated suite of on-screen visuals and props that authentically built out the world of the characters. The fast-turnaround, budget-conscious execution met all broadcast deadlines, contributing directly to the distinct visual identity of a critically acclaimed, culturally iconic comedy series.

When a fictional storyline becomes a real-world release.

Designing the 'Heart Monitor Riddim' album art meant balancing that signature Kurupt FM lo-fi pirate radio aesthetic while delivering a functional, eye-catching asset for their actual YouTube music video launch.

Perfect for peckish.

Designing the packaging for Chabuddy G’s world-famous (and highly questionable) Peanut Dust.
